For the second annual installment of our family summer vacations, we decided to pay a visit to our friendly neighbours to the North, specifically French Canada. We went in search of cooler weather, a favourable exchange rate, and good times, though we only found the latter thanks to a perfectly timed heat wave and some inconceivable economic shifts that have strengthened the Canadian dollar. Unfortunately, I didn't have any time to learn French before the trip, so I just figured that I'd rely on making up words by converting them from Spanish with a French accent and the six random phrases that I learned in middle school. After realizing that this would fail miserably, we were saved by the fact that the majority of people in Montreal and Quebec City speak decent, if not excellent, English. In addition to these two major cities, we also visited the resort town of Mont Tremblant for two action-packed days (see pictures for proof). The entourage at one time or another included me, Dad, Craig, Jess, Roger (Jess' husband), Victoria (Craig's girlfriend), and Stephanie (one of Jess' best friends).
