Though this beach was only a short distance from Nicoya, a convoluted journey involving a bus ride, hitchhiking and a ferry ride finally led us to Playa Montezuma. The main beaches there are very nice, though a bit crowded, so Matt and I walked North along the beach to a spectacular waterfall, El Chorro, flowing straight into the ocean. On the way back we saw some white-faced monkeys in the palm trees.

Along the way to the waterfall, we stopped at a small hut amongst these palm trees where the owner was selling drinks.
